As far as weapons go, this seems to be a great update. I wasn't looking forward to crafting a bunch of useless weapons for my main title character. Now it looks like I'll be able to craft warrior weapons for the warrior, a bow for the ranger, a stave, wand and focus for my ele, etc.

I also suspect that some mini-pet prices may plummet. The only reason I was hanging onto dupes was because I wasn't sure how they might affect the HoM. Now it appears there will be almost no reason to keep any mini-pet dupes.

It also means I won't have to run Glint's Challenge any more to get armor upgrades for all my toons' EOTN heroes.

So it looks like great news all-around. Thanks ANet!

wow, HoM was by far one of the few worst mistakes and tragedies that has ever hit Gws! I'm so glad to see all this in development changes! that is RAD. The only thing I would like to see more is more variety for the weapon of valor monument. I know they added tormented weapons, and thats surely a start! but I would like to see if we can add so many more valuable skinned weapons that we have worked so hard to get! Like greens, and maybe HoM could detect only certain skinned weapons that are gold, such as zodiacs, celestials, crystaline, chaos, storm, eternal, etc! that would really make it perfect for me Great UPDATE though! i love at least that something is happening!

Much improved, especially account wide.

Shame I can't display the high end weapons I actually use.

Epic win.

So if I have multiple legendary survivors, putting all of them in the HoM is worthless, and the only good reason to have multiple legendary survivors is to max titles on multiple characters?

I think I wasted a shitton of my time.

This is absolutely freaking brilliant. I always stayed away from it and this was one of the main reasons for it, now I will start working to fill it up.

So wait... if I have five characters and put four minis, per character, into the Monument of Devotion, it'll total the 20 "needed" to complete that section of the Hall of Monuments under the "account" variation, right?

If so, then I'm more than happy about this update... whenever it plans to be implemented, of course...

I might finally get to buy a mini Water Djinn without the need of Ectoplasm or Zaishen Keys!

A very good update. If this works like I think it will, the only monument I don't have complete is Valor (and I never will) but even that should net some GW2 unlocks.

I'm still a little confused. Can I partially fill each monumen on different characters to make a complete monument? I get the account wide transfer to GW2, but still not sure if I need to for examples craft all the weapons on one toon or if i can make some on one and some on another and have the monument be considered full. My understanding was that some the the "unlocks" would require a full monument (ie all 11 weapons). Is this true or would having a partial monument give partial unlocks?

Very impressed with overall concept of the update but still a little confused abou the details. (Have not looked a wiki for more info yet as i cannot access it from work).

Could someone pm me the answer to my question below? I never read through these big threads.

Quote:
Currently, the Monument to Valor only allows the display of Destroyer weapons. Adding support for Tormented weapons will allow us to give players more options for what they want to display (and unlock for Guild Wars 2)

So stuff we put into HoM will be unlocked for GW2.

Question:
Does this confirm that we'll be able to bring armor skins/minis/pets from GW1 into GW2?

Hmm while they are working on the HoM, this might also be the time to change the re-arranging option. The current button just sucks, drag & drop titles/items of your choice would be much better!

Seriously though good idea. A lot of elitist will cry here and there but the majority of the GW community will love it.
